How to enable Emoji on iPhone firmware 2.2

The first thing I’ve got to say is that the new iPhone 2.2 really boost up performance on the device, probbly most of you don’t remember but when we were on 1.0.0 things were really different , we just couldn’t do anything with the iphone but still we wouldn’t feel laggy while picking up a phone call or surfing the web on Safari.

But well, hey ! 2.2 is here and it’s got some great new features, some of them public, such as the more stable safari, Google Street View and more , and some other features which are hidden such as the Emojis, probbly the only one reason you are reading this
Well , lets get to the point…
Activating the emojis is requires a little bit more out of you. In order to activate the emojis on your iphone you’ll need:
- An iPhone with firmware 2.2
- Already have jailbreaked the phone
- This custom tasty plist
- A SFTP Browser such as Transmit (on Mac) or WinSCP (on windows)
GUIDE HOW TO TURN ON EMOJIS ON YOUR IPHONE WITH FIRMWARE 2.2:
1. The first thing you’ve got to do is access the iPhone via SFTP:
This instructions are the same for Transmit or Filezilla or any file browser, Access your phone by entering it’s network address as a host, root as user and alpine as password.

2. Navigate to the following Folder: /var/mobile/Library/Preferences and replace the file in there , Don’t worry it’s nothing important
3. Go to Settings>General>International>Keboards > Japanese > Emoji and turn it on
4. Enjoy, you can now use emojis on your SMS and Email
The best part on this is that emojis can be seen on almost any iPhone with firmware 2.2 so you can send cool messages to your friends and family bragging your new emojis
