Apple’s iPhone 3GS now available with Tre Italia

It took them a while, but 3 Italy has just launched Apple’s iPhone 3GS. The picture above basically says all the prices for you. The 16GB and 32GB model are now available for €99 ($140 USD) and €199 ($280 USD) on some sort of contract, respectively.

Both models can be had free of contract for €599 ($849 USD) and €699 ($990 USD) as well. 3 Italy also still offers the iPhone 3G, which can be totally free of charge if you choose a new contract agreement.

Hello. 3G italy sells iphone`s and they aren`t locked!!! They cannot be even if they are taken with a contract agreement. Is borbidden by the law to lock the phone on a set network. Any phone under contract or not must be totally unlocked. So i get an iphone for free and sign a contract for 2 years, but i can swap sim anywhere in the world and still use the phone with worldwide network. It seems logical.
I`m a business guy and i travel around, the cheapest way to call and receive calls it to use a local sim. Anywhere in the world , just stop pay a few dollars and you can get a sim, naturally rechargeable one`s. I think is the correct way.
And makes it easier for travellers as well.
If it’s with a contract it will be locked to 02. But as long as you haven’t upgraded to iPhone OS 3.1 (which anyways isn’t released yet) you can very simply unlock it to all networks using yellowsn0w or purplesn0w.
