BaseBand 5.11.07 Unlocking Still Not Possible

GOOD news and BAD new for all iPhone 3G and 3GS user.  So, what news would you like to here first? GOOD OR BAD. To be honest, it doen’t matter. Because, the final output is BAD for NOW.

Here is the GOOD news – Source confirmed that there is a possible UNLOCK for your iPhone 3G’s and 3GS’s (BaseBand 5.11.07) with AT+XEMN :-) .

Here is the BAD news – But, the it turns out to be NOT EXPLOITABLE :-( .

This command has been discovered by Oranav. And iPhone Dev Team looked into it and confirmed that it is non exploitable. iH8sn0w discovered this command and kept it for a while ut, when he heard that this is a non exploitable he posted the command on twitter. GeoHot also looked into this code and confirmed the same (Non Exploitable).
But, I can assure you that we are all in good hand. (iPhone Dev Team(MuscleNerd), GeoHot, iH8sn0w, Oranav, iHacker, and manymore…).

They are still looking into options to get all iPhone user who are stuck with BB 05.11.07.

    My friend traveled to Las Vegas this morning. He´s gonna buy it tomorrow or later. The price at Best Buy stores is $699,00 for a 32Gb. I think this is the lowest price without contract. Does anybody has another tip?

    Believing that Geohot is fully able, I asked to a friend of mine bring an iPhone 3GS from US to Brazil (where I live). Here it costs around $1300.

    Geohot is not working on that but the Dev Teams MuscleNerd is. So an unlock method is being worked on as we speak.

    All just got to be patient…

    a lot of people i know are affected by this i dont have an iphobe 3gs. i have the mytouch which in my opinion is better than the iphone. where i work about 10 people i know are compllaining cuz they cant use their phone lmao i tease them all the time that they now have ipods lmao. and for almost a month now they keep saying the dev team is working on it lmao losers losers losers lmao. who the hell is da dev team anyhow suks to be them cuz now they cant buy from that cydia store lmao apple must be on cloud nine they probably have the dev team working for them. a billion dollar bet they will never never ever unlock it how i know cuz i work for apple lmao and i personally was involved in the 05.11.07 baseland and we outsmarted your dev team losers lmao

    yeh i think everyone’s waiting for this unlock… i got baseband 5.11.07 with bootloader 6.08 unfortunately…. so all i can do is wait… and use my “itouch”

    Yeah, I’m thinking that’s the way to go. Until they come out with the unlock, I’m stuck with my buggy G1! No doubt they’ll figure out the unlock there’s a lot of brilliant minds working on it, but I don’t wanna wait too much longer :(

    My iPhone is factory unlocked this time around. A lot less stressful knowing that all I ever could lose was the jailbreak. Would suck but at least it would still be a phone :-)

    Well, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for an unlock. But I’m also watching a bunch of eBay auctions (just in case) for factory unlocked iPhones so I won’t have to deal with this issue again lol

    I am even looking to purchase one of those cheap bricked iPhone 3GS that you can find on Ebay nowadays.

    But things are definitely not getting easier that’s for sure.

    Hi there, I am preety sure (iPhone Dev Team(MuscleNerd), GeoHot, iH8sn0w, Oranav, iHacker, and manymore…) they will definately find a way to unlock BL and baseband very soon if they really want to do that. NOT EXPLOITABLE will be proove wrong very soon!! All the programme have hole. Its impossible that a code without hole. Its just a matter of time to find out that. Wait and see with in next month.

    Please save us from this situation.
